The Dunamis Effect Workbook

A companion workbook for the book The Dunamis Effect.

A Path to Freedom
Since the 1930’s Alcoholics Anonymous has used a divinely inspired set of 12 Steps to help millions of people shed the burden of alcoholism. These have been adapted to dozens of other compulsive behaviors with similar success. The Dunamis Effect seeks to follow God’s will in helping Christians recognize their ego-driven false self, which has isolated them from others and changed their brains both chemically and structurally. While the combination of genetics, neurobiology, and repeatedly missing the mark on God’s plan for your life may cause incomprehensible demoralization, all is not lost. By applying a 21st century scientific understanding of addiction treatment, and an unashamedly Christ-centered view of the 12 steps, transformation of the disease of addiction into the True self that God designed you live, addiction can be overcome.

What Others are Saying
“I lead a Life Recovery group that we set up through our church, that deals with addiction of all kinds. Based on The Life Recovery Bible and Biblical teachings, we have adopted The Dunamis Effect as our guidebook. We use this guide, and the 12 steps, in a belief that Jesus is our Higher Power. The group loves this more modern, medical, and spiritual approach to the 12 steps and recovery. I recommend this approach if your goal is to bring spiritual wellness and the love of Jesus to recovery. This is essential to lifelong sobriety and selfless service to God and our neighbors.” – Russell D. Smoldon, Board Member

“The Dunamis Effect provided the needed resources for a comprehensive Christian recovery ministry for churches of any size. I highly recommend it to any church wishing to expand their reach.” – Ashley Wooldridge, Christ Church of the Valley (CCV)

“Dr. Middleton has tackled the issue of developing a 12-step program based recovery program that supports men and women who identify as Christians and have historically been reluctant to engage in a traditional 12-step program.” – Jerry L. Law, Meadows Behavioral Healthcare
